With all the power of social media, it is an easy task for us to recall what have we done in the past year.
Unless, you don't really share or post in social media or you don't even have one!
Every year end, you can see a lot of apps that will combine your "big day"s, most liked post, bla bla bla, like a summary or a report card for you. So, I have tried this "Best Nine" for my insta , and this is what i get.
Social life and my crazy active life! *sure la, who will post about working life in sojia social media?!
And the words that I used most in FB is like this
Seems like Team Real Steel really my "heart blood"!
Since year 2014 i got into my first road running and OCR, it has become a big part of my life.
My weekends no longer sleep late and rest at home, but wake up earlier than work (ops!) and become sweaty or muddy.
I have become more and more erm... say it in good term is rajin, if for straightforward term is 烂跑. Lol~ especially you got to know more and more runners. Your FB and insta's wall are all about running, this person post about his or hers LSD, that person post about speedwork. You feel guilty not to run!
For this, I have to apologize to all my FB and insta friends who are not runner. They have to tolerate my post about running all the time. Some of them even asked me whether I become full time runner!
All my running finisher medals - can make into a huge chimes.
It has been a crazy year for 2016.
To sum it up, I learnt the word "terpodium" when i first time manage to squeeze in podium. I think I consider a late bloomer (and still blooming, slowly), been running for 2years only able to podium.
Honestly, my running has improve by joining all those FOC running workshop, events, workout etc. Especially every Wednesday (almost)
The 3 events that I "terpodium"
I am grateful that I have a brother who always share common hobby with me since young. I am the one who poisoned him first for running (please refer to this blog post) and now he has become the one who always
Additionally, all the pacers and runners that I know from PNRC and Nike We Run KL training. They are friendly and so encouraging to push my limit. Thank you all for your precious advice, encouragement, and your expectation on me.
Hence, I have finally ran Half-marathon this year, twice! And make a big leap for next year~
With all the motivation, I am able to achieved several PBs (too shy to show la) during road race. I will keep the momentum for next year! *Ain't no stopping*
Not only I have achieved milestone in running, but OCR too! First time ever, I ran alone for Spartan Beast. First Spartan Beast and first solo!
I have completed the Spartan Beast even though with burpees, but I still able to cross the finish line, with a big smile on face. It has prove that all my training pay off.
5 OCR events ONLY la~
It was a fruitful year for running and OCR but not for cycling. I felt sorry for my Blackie because it has be left in the cold for 2016. Me and my buddy - Shwuni only joined 3 cycling events, but we have took the challenge for longer distance and steeper hills! And also, we went to Penang for one of the event (my first outstation event!)
I will never forget that we pedal like zombie on LEKAS highway! Lol~ last but not least, cross the finish line about the cut-off time during the KOM in Balik Pulau!
Putrajaya Night ride - LEKAS Ride - Monster Climb Challenge
This is a crazier year compare to year 2015 that I wrote in my previous post!
For some people, they do not understand why I paid to run and to suffer! I have completed all these events with my own legs and hands (sometimes need a hand from others), the experience is priceless!
Hopefully in the new year I could achieve more (pay less?!) and stay in good shape. My good shape means - proper training and no pain or injuries!
GONNA BE A CRAZY YEAR IN 2017!!!
See you in 2017!!
