We actually register for this after the last trail run in FRIM - Forest Trail Run 2015.
There was this auntie distributing the brochure and registration forms, and she told us that the route would be slightly different from FTR2015.
Since we always wanted to explore trail route in FRIM, we just register for it, and also take it as a training for upcoming Spartan and Viper.
Race Kit Collection
The race kit collection was at World of Sports @ E-curve a week before the event.
Collection process was smooth, and there were some special deal on Salomon shoes for participants.
My bro was interested to try on Salomon, but he is kinda "financial tight" now! Lol~
We got second Salomon race shirt, the previous would the 1 from Salomon Trail Run 2014, which both of us overslept and missed it. >.<
Since this is a Charity event, not much "free gift", just a race shirt and bib, fair enough.
And, no event guide given, so we not sure will there be baggage drop or any parking inside.
Race Day
We did carpool for this event too, since we all stay in Selayang, Nic and Xuanxuan pick us at 6am, and parked at the same spot like last event.
We Q for toilet and did some warm up before the official warm up session by "Hot Hot Baby".
Don't ask me, I don't know who were they, where they from~ NO IDEA AT ALL!
As usual, flag off Men's category at 7.10am (my watch-time) and Women's category is 20mins after that.
The flag off was so sudden, no countdown, no shouting, nothing!! Just suddenly the sound of honk, and everyone start running! Lol~
Met the new friendfrom Spartan Mass Workout last week
Starting Fresh with Xuan
Xuan was getting emergency call from the nature, luckily call ended just before women flag off.
We try to overtake "walkers" on the begin of the straight route.
This is our home ground, we know that after this straight road, will connect to the entrance of trail, and immediately follow by a steep uphill, there will be more walkers.
I try to ran up so that not get trap with the crowd, Xuan has been off training for months, so she asked me to go ahead.
Initially I wanted to break my own record for this uphill, but my best still during FTR2015 (according to Strava records).

There is this flat road and slightly downhill after the first uphill, but it will be another steeper and longer uphill.
I did push myself up on the uphill and try to pull more distance from other runners.
I LOVE HILLS!!! Not heels, ok? Lol~
When I pass by the first water station, roughly at KM3, I have this feeling that the route will be the same as FTR2015., and it really is!!
Kena tipu!!!
Just like last time, I was behind, chasing Nic as my ultimate goal! Lol~
After KM5, me and a few female runners were at the similar pace, try to push each other, I feel more motivate and kept pushing myself.
Shortly after coming out from the trail, we were back to tarmac road, it connect back to Taman Botani, the route that I usually ran.
That was just a little bit like 1.5km more to go, so I keep telling myself to go faster.
My bro was waiting at the straight stretch of road after the start line, he ran with me and keep shouting at me.
"Go go go!! 500m only, all out!! All out!!" - His usual Spartan Evil-Trainer style.
Overall I got improved~!!! Fuuu~ I don't know what program my bro going to set for me if i got no improvement! >.<
*My previous record on Strava was imported from Nike+, hence it has some variants on timing, I'm comparing with my own watch-timed* It's time for me to get a GPS-watch... perhaps? XD

After Race
Always end with sweaty looks!
We got our medal, finisher gift pack, waters, Lucozade, and WATERMELONS!!!
When we notice that there were not lucky draw sponsor from Garmin, we just leave for our breakfast.
Yes, we just wanna aim for Garmin watches~ XD
Beautiful Finisher Medals
Nic brought us to the famous "5 Colours Pan Mee" for breakie!
Not only the pan mee is colourful, the nescafe also is "3-layers-nescafe"!

Race Summary
There's always beneficial if you running a race at some route that you are familiar with, because you know well about it.
Where are these uphills and downhills, how long the distance, how steep is it, how many flat route etc. It is like a strategy game!
Now I understand why pros sometimes will recce the route before the event.
